By Air: Gatwick Airport is just over 80 miles from the hotel, while Heathrow Airport is around 45 miles away. Both airports are accessible by national rail links or by express bus services which stop outside Queen’s College, a 2minute walk from the Eastgate Hotel.
By Rail: Oxford Rail Station is approximately 15minutes walk from the hotel.
By Road:
Approaching on the northbound M40, exit the motorway at Junction 8, following the A40 towards Oxford City Centre. At the Headington Roundabout go straight on, following signs to the City Centre. Pass the Headington shops down a steep hill and then go straight on at the traffic lights. Continue along the road, over The Plain Roundabout and over Magdalen Bridge. Keep in the left hand lane then turn left into Merton Street. The Eastgate Hotel will be on the left hand side (car park is through the archway).
Approaching on the southbound M40, exit the motorway at Junction 9, following the A34 towards Oxford. At the Peartree Interchange, exit towards Oxford on the A44. Follow the road to the Wolvercote Roundabout, taking the second exit, signposted London, A40 and M40. Go straight over the first roundabout and follow the dual carriageway for approximately 2 miles. Turn off at the Marston, Elsfield and Hospitals turnoff (look for the large yellow JR sign). On reaching the double roundabout, turn left then right, heading towards Oxford City Centre on the Marston Road. Follow this road until you reach the traffic lights at the very end, then turn right towards the City Centre. You will eventually reach The Plain Roundabout. Go straight over the roundabout and Magdalen Bridge. Stay in the left hand lane, then turn left into Merton Street and the hotel will be visible on the left (car park is through the archway).
